Allyson Felix is a track and field sprint athlete, competing internationally for the United States. Felix sees her running ability as a gift from God, "My faith is the reason I run - it calms my heart and makes everything feel like a lift. My speed is definitely a gift from Him, and I run for His glory. Whatever I do, He allows me to do it."
In 2007, she became only the second female athlete to win 3 gold medals at a single IAAF World Championships in Athletics. Her major goal this summer is to win four medals at the Beijing Olympics.
She says, "In the season of my life that I am in now, I feel so blessed that God has given me the talent of running. My running is an amazing gift from God and I want to use it to the best of my ability to glorify Him. You have to have this passion and you have to have a reason for doing what you’re doing. And there really has to be a purpose there, I think that’s what drives success. I know my talent is from God. And that’s my purpose: to run to glorify Him."
