Cat Reddick won a gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and now plays in the United Soccer League. Ever since then she has been playing regularly for the national team. However, the US Women's team preparing for the Beijing Olympics suffered a great blow when Reddick suffered an injury which was later diagnosed as a torn ACL. This injury will prevent her from heading to China in an attempt to win back-to-back gold medal.

Fans of Cat Reddick will know that this current setback will not dampen her spirit. Because to Cat Reddick, playing soccer out there is more than just kicking a ball and winning a game. Her testimony says it all, "Many people think church is the only place to worship God. But you can worship God no matter where you are or what you’re doing. A soccer field is one of my favorite places to worship. Before the national anthem, I pray my performance will bring glory to God. Then the field becomes my church, and playing to the best of my ability, a form of praise."

Cat Reddick, we wish you a speedy recovery.
